Our Kiltwalk Success

If you read my recent article in relation to the Scottish Kiltwalk you will know that I had agreed to take on this challenge with a view to raising funds for the RAF Association.

On Sunday 18th September myself along with my Husband & a couple of Friends tackled the Edinburgh Kiltwalk.

The Challenge started at Murrayfield Stadium & saw us walk out towards the coast where we walked past many of the lovely beaches before heading back to Murrayfield where the challenge ended.

When will this Tunnel end?!
5 Miles to go!

Approx 5000 walkers took part on the day, all in support of 500 charities.

The atmosphere was amazing & it was nice to chat to some of the other walkers along the way.

Looks like this dog is tired out!

A couple of much needed pitstops provided refreshments & encouragement to help us push through our challenge.

Fortunately for us the Scottish weather remained fair & completing our challenge in just over 5 hours.

On passing the finish line we were presented with our Kiltwalk Medals.

There was then time to enjoy the atmosphere at the stadium, eat some hot food & to rest our weary feet. There are some blisters, but lets not get into that!

The total raised at Edinburgh that day was £1.42 Million which was topped up by £710,000 by Sir Tom Hunter & the Hunter Foundation making a total of £2.137 Million.

Through my own fundraising & with the top up I managed to raise £515.00 for the RAF Association.

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to donate to my fundraiser, your donation is greatly appreciated… the money is going to an amazing charity!!
